GedConvert API

The API is included in the Pro plan. Create a key on your account page, then send it as a Bearer token. Jobs created through the API share the same monthly file allowance as the web tool, and every export artifact can be downloaded individually.

Create a conversion

Multipart upload, one or more files in the files field:

The response is the finished job (processing is synchronous): status, per-file counts, the graded issue list with line numbers, the repair and conversion change logs, and the list of artifacts written.

Download an export

kind is one of individuals, families, events, sources, notes, repaired, converted; file is the stored input file name from the job:

Notes

• Files are kept for 72 hours after conversion, then deleted.
• Plan limits (files per month, batch size, file size) apply exactly as on the web tool and are enforced on the server.
• A key whose owner drops below Pro stops working with a 403 until the plan includes API access again — the key itself stays valid.
